I wrote it *before* With Such Beauty On Show but had to hold off posting til ASTG had gotten past the phone sex and the reading to each other over the phone since my story implied both had happened before... I've been poking and prodding jlrpuck to try to find out when I would be able to post and she surprised me today with the story that freed me up to do it...

Well, I think my particular fic preference has been well stated. ;-) I forgot to comment on how I liked what you did about Rose's accent, I wish they'd tackled that on Doctor Who and just told Billie if she couldn't do Rose's accent any more just to do whatever and throw in a line about how she had to posh it up or something. Because it seems reasonable to fit in with her new life she'd have to talk differently. :-)

thanks. having lived in France as a child - where people thought my American parents had stolen me because I sounded like a native 6 year old, and then the UK as a teenager - where I got a significant cockney, I understand the need to fit in. Though I have moved around the country a lot and chosen to not pick up the local accents (though I can do a mean Eastern North Carolina drawl if called upon, and tend to pick up the New York accent when I'm with my extended family)... it just seemed like something that she would recognize in herself.
