Am actually doing that. Starting to do consulting on the side and its kinda nice. Have more work then I can really handle. But I don't know if I want to do it full time.

More work than you can handle is a nice thing in the consulting world. And repeat business in consulting brings a measure of security that being a f/t employee usually does. Good luck with it!
