Very interested in the cycling thing. Bath was actually a nice stretch; a longer day might be to go on to Bradford on Avon. Not sure of the distance - one option is to train out and bike back, or vice versa, or just slog it all the way there.
This weekend I'm doing Bristol Bike Show (of the motorised variety) on Saturday then a trip on the same bike either to London or Weymouth on Sunday, so count me out I'm afraid.
I have Ben over the bank holiday weekend so I can't do that either; ah well!
I am definately in on a surf trip if the weather makes it worth while. I would suggest a proper early start. (On the subject of surfing, Haley is planning a weekend in Croyde first weekend of September. I am going to try to go on that for the Saturday night. I am sure you would be welcome. Friday night I will be recovering from a fine lunch at the Fat Duck with my Dad.)
I am probably unavailable most of bank holiday weekend. Might be up for something Monday afternoon. Depending on how the rest of plans go so let me know if you have a plan that I can drop in on.
I may be up for some stuff on bank holiday weekend. BBQ sort of thing sounds good! I'm probably not up for cycling long distances because my bike isn't really up to it.
I'll probably be busy on the Sunday afternoon though, because Circomedia are having their opening festivities in Portland Square. There will be taster sessions on flying trapeze, so I definitely want to go to that.
There are also performances from Circus Baobab (they're directed by Pierrot Bidon - founder of Archaos).
More info on the Circomedia programme here. There's some free stuff and some 'buy a ticket' stuff, dunno if anyone else is interested in any of this?
