I just watched through all of Firefly on my computer over the past three days.

It is by far the best show I've ever seen in my entire life. I can't wait to see the movie Serenity, which wraps up the show since Fox cancelled it after one season.

If you ever have a chance to watch Firefly, do it.

I've seen enough episodes to ensure my stance that Joss Whedon needs to stop attempting to make TV shows. After seeing Firefly and Buffy, I am convinced that Whedon should never, EVER, write anything close to a story.

listen here bubsy mcshnoodlepants

no

I'll admit that the episodes towards the middle of the season kind of dropped down in quality, lost their touch (albiet they were still pretty good), but the beginning and ending episodes were absolutely fantastic.

The story line in each episode spins what's actually happening, leading you to believe that everybody is always double-crossing eachother or getting killed. Additionally, they never explain what the preacher truely is, though I'm guessing he's either a former Alliance General or a former bounty hunter. I like how they simply never explained it.

I will also admit that River (the little girl) is my least favorite character and that I think she gets in the way of better storylines. The show can do without an ESP psycho freak who flips out all the time.

Anyways, it's a great show, and that's that. The end.

If you like FireFly, you must also love Farscape, America's Top Model, and The Boondocks.

If you accept that claim and still like FireFly, you're no longer as cool as anyone ever thought you were.

I'll stand by the Daily Show and the Colbert Report as my favorite shows, they're sort of time-sensitive. Right behind them, though, are the three Joss Whedon shows*, which I own all of. That's right: 13 DVD sets and a movie (I'm not counting the Buffy movie, because even Joss Whedon admits it was a big steaming load of crap). You will absolutely not be disappointed by Serenity.

*The Simpsons in their prime could easily beat out Angel, but there's so much crap in the mix that Angel wins on the basis of consistency. And it was only consistently interesting because at any moment, a major character might become evil without warning or dead without a very good reason. I can only think of one member of his "team" that wasn't The Bad Guy for at least one episode, and he was dead halfway through the first season, for no apparent reason.
