[In other words, I got the job! 8D I start tomorrow night, 10 to 7 third shift. ]

HOPE!
Snelling called earlier. I'm going in for a drug test tomorrow morning and, if everything turns out okay (it should since I'm so sober as to be knurd!) I start work Sunday night. It's a store rest for a Walmart working third shift (11 pm to 7 am), which pays more than the other shifts. So I may soon be gainfully employed....at least for the next 9 ( Read more... ) -
Interesting news
I got a phone call from my dad today. He was apparently headed home from chemo and wanted to check up on me and Aaron. There wasn't any arguing or massively revelations, other than finding out dad knew I was unemployed already (either Eric told him or my grandparents told him...). It was just kind of awkward talking to him. I do worry about him ( Read more... ) -

Got my cable bill today. Can't pay it till next week though, so if you don't see me around for a couple of days, that's the reason.

My printer decided to refuse to print today. After much growling, involving my brother, attempting a system restore, more growling, restarting computer, flipping my shit, and I finally ended up crying because I really can't take this shit anymore. Like the true genius that I am, I totally forgot to re-certify for unemployment Monday. And apparently you can't access the online pages till 7 am, Central Time. So guess who realized this at around 5 am today and decided to just not sleep? 8| -

I think I'm a house frau. I have a whole subsection of bookmarks devoted just to crafting and cooking. I even went all fancy last night, baking and decorating a cake! 8D
And I'm now seriously trying to learn how to use the dinosaur of a sewing machine my grandmother gave us.
