Does anyone know if you're allowed to bring a calculator to the GRE?

I seriously can not find that info anywhere and I'm confused on how the math section varies in difficulty.
I got sent the little GRE study CD by IES but their problems are significantly easier than the ones in the kaplan book I bought.
I dunno.

I'm so lost on it. Some people say no and some people say they provide you with a basic calculator on screen that allows you to do basic math and roots and stuff.

No, unfortunately there's no calculator. The quantitative portion is less about doing basic math, and more about understanding how to figure out the answer, if that makes sense. It's simple math because they can't reasonably put difficult math on there because most people haven't taken more than Algebra or Statistics in college, so they ask the questions in tricky ways to make it harder.

No calc.
Math wasn't too bad, actually.
