Things I like: established romantic relationships, bittersweetness, hurt/comfort, canon-divergence AUs, non-mundane genre AUs, crossdressing, loyalty and lady/knight sort of dynamics, characters protecting each other/saving each other's lives, action/casefic/etc. A-plot with romance B-plot, smut featuring characters over 16
DNWs: non-canon pregnancy or kidfic, fic heavily focused on children/parenting, fic in which a requested pairing breaks up and stays broken up to the end of the fic, issuefic, non-canon character death, noncon, mundane AUs, crossovers, vore or guro (as kinks), non-requested non-canon ships, non-requested canon ships as a major focus of the fic, smut featuring characters under 16
I'll elaborate a little more on my smut likes at the end of the letter so that people who don't want to see that can skip it.
Any POV or tense is fine; my only stylistic request is that there be proper capitalization, because I find things easier to read that way.
I am really bad at coming up with specific prompts, so first of all, I apologize for that, but second, whatever specific prompts I do include are probably some random thing thought of off the top of my head in an attempt to give you some kind of guidance if you're having trouble, rather than being ideas I'm really married to, so feel free to disregard them entirely.
A Bride for Rip Van Winkle (2016)
Minagawa Nanami/Satonaka Mashiro: I know that the whole point/emotional arc of the movie kind of requires Mashiro's death and doing a fix-it would kind of defeat the purpose, blah blah blah, but what I think is..... what if, with Nanami in her life, Mashiro decided she actually did have something to live for besides her porn career? And, like, got treatment for her treatable cancer? Which would obviously not be a walk in the park, but I really want these two to have the chance to carve out some kind of happiness for themselves, together.
Chess
Svetlana Sergievsky/Florence Vassy: Okay, so their only interaction in canon revolves entirely around Anatoly, but, I mean, they look at each other and instantly go "obviously she is a far more desirable romantic partner than I am," and you can totally take that to a shippy place. And I think they both deserve someone who's capable of caring more about other people than about chess. What if Svetlana ends up leaving Anatoly and the Soviet Union herself and winds up in England (America? Wherever Florence lives in the version of your choosing?) and gets in touch with Florence because she doesn't know anyone else there? Or what if Florence (who in at least some versions is a world-class chess player herself) starts competing in chess tournaments on her own behalf and runs into Svetlana who's there as a spectator?
The Count of Monte Cristo
Eugénie Danglars/Louise d'Armilly: I was totally charmed by Eugénie and Louise when reading the book, and since there's not all that much of them, especially not together, there's plenty of room for fic. I would love to read about their future adventures involving music and possibly crossdressing, but any kind of backstory on their relationship or stuff set during the events of the book would also be awesome!
I don't usually request fanart because I'm terrible at prompting it, but I'm making an exception because I would absolutely love an illustration of the scene where they're preparing to run away together. The thing I really enjoy about that scene is how much fun they seem to be having with it, so anything that captures that would be great. Alternatively, the two of them at the piano together or the last scene at the hotel would also be lovely.
Dangan Ronpa (Hope's Peak Arc)
Asahina Aoi/Kirigiri Kyouko: I really like this as a Future Foundation-era thing--I was sold on it in the first episode of the DR3 Mirai-hen anime when Aoi hugs Kirigiri and calls her "Kyouko-chan" and Kirigiri... doesn't seem to mind, which is a lot for Kirigiri. They've been through a lot together by that point, and they've clearly become close. I'd like to see them being a bright spot for each other in the grimdark future. Also maybe some suit kink? I'm into the new outfits. That said, if you signed up hoping to write them at an earlier canon point, that's fine by me too! I am always up for the kind of romance in which a character who's aloof because she doesn't know how to talk to people/make friends is coaxed out of her shell by a more outgoing love interest, if you want to go to a fluffy pre-Despair place, and something set during the lockdown could go a similar direction to the post-canon stuff, with them finding solace or at least distraction in their relationship.
Koizumi Mahiru/Sato: This is the only thing I came out of SDR2 shipping, and the lack of fic was frustrating, if not exactly surprising, considering that Satou doesn't even actually appear in the game. But the kind of intense, fucked-up loyalty that would lead one person to commit murder for another and the other to help her cover it up is catnip to me. And then DR3 started airing, and I was like, we will get to actually see the events of Twilight Syndrome! Maybe Satou's character will be expanded upon and there will be more fic! Maybe she'll even get a first name! And I was disappointed on all counts, obviously. So I would love to see any exploration of their relationship, in junior high or at Hope's Peak--some glimpse of how they met, how they became friends, how or why Satou became so devoted to Mahiru and vice versa, how it affected their relationship when one got into Hope's Peak proper and the other was in the reserve course... anything, really. Or if you wanted to do an AU where Satou doesn't die and plop her into the events of SDR2, that would be cool too! Or something else entirely. Seriously, anything.
Persona 3
Aigis/Arisato Minako: I love just how little difference there is in Aigis's S-link for the male and female protagonists, down to the thinly-veiled robosex. And Aigis is so loyal and protective, which of course I enjoy, and Minako comes off warmer and more genuinely caring than her male counterpart, and... they're cute, okay. It'd be nice to see them get to go on an actual date sometime over the course of the game. Or, I don't know, having a quiet moment after a battle or something. I would rather not have something post-canon that's just focused on Aigis mourning.
I tend to use Minako in exchange sign-ups/letters because it's the canonical tag, but I don't really care what you name her as long as it's not Hamuko.
Kirijo Mitsuru/Takeba Yukari: I like that their relationship is difficult and a bit antagonistic at first, but despite their differences they manage to become friends and sources of support for one another. I don't think it would be the smoothest romantic relationship, but I do think they really care about each other. I'd enjoy fic set during canon for them too, but if you wanted to explore where they end up after canon, either in the immediate aftermath or years later, that would be cool too.
Persona 5
Niijima Makoto/Takamaki Ann: This is another ship where I enjoy the interplay between someone who's kind of an uptight nerd who's bad with people and someone who's more outgoing and spontaneous--I'd love to see Ann getting Makoto to try things she wouldn't normally do. I also feel like this is potentially a good ship for the kind of mutual pining where each assumes the other is out of their league (Ann is a model! She's beautiful and vivacious and so many people must want to date her! vs. Makoto is the class president! She's so smart and responsible and everybody looks up to her! That kind of thing.)
Suzui Shiho/Takamaki Ann: So much of Ann's social link is about how much she loves Shiho, and I really enjoyed the glimpses of their relationship that we got through that, from the touching moments about how much Ann admires Shiho to the fact that they became friends because Shiho insulted Ann's painting and Ann thought it was hilarious (an A+ meet-cute in my book). I'm mostly interested in fic set after Shiho gets out of the hospital--not necessarily very long after, though if you want to explore what happens with their relationship when they're in college or after, that's good too.
Niijima Sae/Ohya Ichiko; Niijima Sae/Takemi Tae: I feel like all three of these women are, in their own ways, kind of inclined to keep others at arm's length, and I'd love to see how either Tae's or Ichiko's personalities would play off Sae's, if they were to run into her somehow. My go-to for engineering meetings involving at least one investigator-type character is for them to run into the other character in some capacity during an investigation (which could lead to some interesting friction since I'm not sure either Tae or Ichiko is necessarily inclined to cooperate), but hey, maybe Sae happens to get injured while in Yongen-Jaya and winds up at Tae's clinic because it's the only one around, or maybe she gets dragged out to Crossroads by some co-workers and meets Ichiko there. Or maybe something else! I would really love to see whatever take on these pairings you come up with.
Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney
Eve Belduke/Espella Cantabella: Once again, intense, fucked-up loyalty is My Jam, and if pretending to be at least two people in an elaborate years-long ruse for the sake of a person you think doesn't even remember you exist isn't that, I don't know what is. I am, however, also totally down for a lighter and fluffier take on this ship. (I really enjoy the way that the DLC reveals Eve to actually be a huge dork.) I would especially be interested in the two of them getting off the island, at least temporarily, and maybe helping each other adjust to the "real world" they've been disconnected from for so long. But really, anything is fine! I have written 1/3 of the extant fic for this ship--as in, literally one out of three. There's three fics. So, you know, there's a lot left to explore!
Umineko no Naku Koro ni
Mammon/Ushiromiya Ange: I really loved their relationship in the game, with Mammon as Ange's first friend, and even though she's this non-human being driven by greed, she gets so angry on Ange's behalf when Ange is mistreated, and she really does seem to care, in her own way. I can imagine Ange's feelings for her shading into romance (especially since Ange is so lonely), although of course any kind of relationship would be complicated by Mammon's status as furniture and the fact that she's.... a non-human being driven by greed. I'd be interested in both fic set when Ange is at boarding school and fic set during the game's "present day" after Ange becomes able to summon the Stakes again.
Smut likes and dislikes
I am always completely down with vanilla sex; I am a really boring person and that's most of what I like. There aren't any particular subtypes of that that I especially prefer or that I want to avoid. I also don't have strong preferences for what vocabulary gets used for what anatomy; just use whatever you think the POV character would.
For kinks, the big ones for me are crossdressing (but more kinking on the clothing itself/how good the character looks in it rather than how much like a man the character looks in it, if that makes sense?) and loyalty/service-flavored D/s. I'm not particularly into bondage or painplay as things in themselves, but I don't mind them. I also enjoy... semi-public sex? Of the "someone could walk in on us at any moment and we have to be really quiet" variety (but I don't want anyone to actually walk in). Use of toys is also something that's not especially a kink for me but I'm not not into it, as it were.
I DNW anal, futa/g!p, humiliation, total power exchange, formalized 24/7 D/s relationships, actually public sex where other people are actually watching, or scat/watersports/omorashi. And in general, if I haven't specifically mentioned it, I'm probably not into it.
