So I got a new job, right?  Well, I'm finally starting to learn more things so that's nice.  But I think they are trying to make me fat!  I've been here a week and they've had cake and lunch brought in twice.  How's a girl supposed to follow her diet when there is free barbecue?!  /stupid non-rant

Hee, that's one of the perils of the work place!! Where I work, if it's your birthday you have to bring in cream cakes. At Easter we have a hot cross bun rota. At Christmas we have a mince pie rota that starts in NOVEMBER - EVERY DAY UNTIL WE BREAK FOR CHRISTMAS!!!! Dear Lord, you can't stand the sight of them come the 24th of December. Then there's the biscuits, the sweets. IT'S ENDLESS!! ENDLESS!!

I know. The dissertation support group meets in the Writing Center every Friday and Rhonda brings them DONUTS. Then there are potlucks, and random We need Cake days, and every Tuesday, people bring over food from the 38 House.
