I was watching Oprah last night and saw this kid who raised close to a million dollars so that wells can be built in Uganda. Another kid was caught in a crossfire and was hit in the eye. But then, that didn’t stop him to dream big dreams. He finished college and is now living alone. He intends to make it big in the music industry coz that ( Read more... )

Hmm... This made me think about all those dreams I had when I graduated from college. Back then, I wanted to join the JVP (Jesuit Volunteers of the Philippines). I also had a dream of becoming a mission-worker for Couples For Christ. I really wanted to do something to make a difference.

And just like you, I'm also wondering, 'what happened to me?'

Still, I believe that I can make a difference. Not as big a difference as I hoped for, but in my own small ways.

i'll probably do some volunteer work na for kids in hospitals. you wanna join? :)

I saw that episode too. If you put a group of people in one place and ask them who among them were able to fulfill their childhood dreams, chances are less than an eighth will admit to having achieved it. It is sad that most of us tend to lose sight of what really mattered to us as kids. What may be survival to the most of us can actually mean death.

it's the peter pan syndrome. happens to the best of us. however, you should not lose heart. there are greater things ahead and life has just started to become truly interesting.

why dont you write the things you believe in so that you can review it often and not forget?
