Get a viable business proposal set up and submit it to a bank and if approved, they'll set you up with venture capital that you can use to get yourself set up under the agreement that you will be successful enough to pay them back. Private funding works in much the same way, only you're convincing one (or a few) rich dudes to pitch in for a stake or eventual repayment. Usually a stake, if they have great faith in your concept. Though it's serious and tough and usually requires a college education in business management to get going in a meaningful way. http://www.cvca.ca/ is a good Canadian resource as well as the webpages of banks you would be working with. Details would be available on their business banking section of their respective sites. But it's such fucking hard work and a potential life destroyer if it goes under so tread lightly.
