I read Jennifer Crusie's latest novel "Maybe This Time" last night, and it's left me weirdly unsettled. (OK, to be perfectly honest, I didn't read all of it, I skimmed about two-thirds of it. But I got all of the important stuff. I'm a skilled skimmer

They were scary! I told Brandon about the ending, and he said it sounded like the end to a Goosebumps book or an episode of "Are You Afraid of the Dark." I had to agree.

I'm not remembering "Bet Me" in particular, but I've read all of her books so I'm sure I've read it! I think "Faking It" remains my favorite. An art forger and a reformed con man? Count me in!
