HP movie...

Went to watch the movie on Saturday night.

There are two things I liked about it (and this doesn't even need a spoiler tag!):
- Luna
- Bellatrix
(okay, and Umbridge was spot-on, but it's hard to say you "like" Umbridge...)

Although the portrayal of Umbridge was awesome. But yes, Luna was great ^^.

I liked the movie. Admittedly was confused most of the time and needed to re-read the book afterwards. But its much better than the other Potter movies.

Yeah, Umbridge feels like she walked right out of the book (and is bloodying annoying because of it XD )

I think the movie is nice as a movie on it's own. But as an adaptation of the book, it feels like 2/3 of it has disappeared mysteriously and the remaining 1/3 has changed way too much?
I'm glad they toned down on the emo-ness of Harry, and the and Sirius didn't have a chance to make me go from "OMG Sirius yay!!!" to "oh hell, not again..." ^^;;;
But for me, this book was mainly for character building, and you don't really get to see it in the movie, 'cept for Harry...
They didn't show Neville visiting his parents Neville is actually my fav. character, weird, I know XD, it isn't like him to just volunteer the information and go "oh, but I'm gonna avenge them" when no one even asked. Percy was annoying, but in an I-can't-say-I-won't-act-like-him-if-I-were-in-his-family way in the book, in the movie, he just randomly showed up next to Fudge with no explanations (I don't think his name was ever even mentioned

(Just got back from the movie!) Umbridge was fantastic. I was so frustrated watching, because she was so perfect and annoying and evil and argh. Luna was super cute... I wish she could have been even more present in the movie to show off her eccentricities, but she was pretty wonderful as it was.

(And piggybacking on your comment...) You hate Ron? D: He's my favorite character!

Amen re: Umbridge and Luna. Hopefully there'll be more of Luna in the remaining movies XD

and Re: Ron, well, to be fair, I dislike all of the trio. Something about the righteousness... and I don't like most characters in HP anyway, so just ignore me ^^;

Luna and Umbridge were both great. Luna especially. I loved her. :)
