Profile Survey... this time from Japan
I took this survey just before leaving for Japan. I'll edit it just to the ones with new answers...
7. Do you know your neighbors? I get the occassional "konbanwa" from one or two... closest "neighbors" I know are a 10 minute walk up the road.
13. Dream job? I've never been about making money... I am completely happy teaching in Japan. Will I do it forever? Definitely not, so for now, I am just going to enjoy.
16. Showers or Bath? definitely baths now... I move around so much at work now. When I come home, I just want to sit in the tub and think about nothing.
20. Do you want kids? yes yes yes yes yes... if working with kids all day has had any adverse-effect on me, it's that now I am totally in love with the idea of being a parent. The need to be patient is slowly slippin away, haha.
22. Where would you rather be right now? at either of my two primary schools... I miss the fun wacky times in the classrooms and on the playgrounds
31. What's your main ringtone on your mobile? the cellphones here in Japan have so many nice tones to pick from... I went with something... ummmm... Japanese
32. What were you doing at midnight last night? watching either South Park, CLANNAD After Story, or Toradora via internet
33. Who was your last text message from? Alisha
35. What color shirt are you wearing? my light-blue polo because I WAS going to go to the shrine today for the second day of Hatsumode, but I got lazy, plus it started to rain at the exact moment I put my coat on.
36. Most recent movie you watched? hmmmm... since arriving in Japan, I have seen in theaters: Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Wanted, Eagle Eye, and 2-5-2 (a Japanese disaster movie)
37. Name five things you have on you at all times? wallet, cell phone, hand cloth (since there are no paper towels in Japanese public bathrooms), camera (since I never know when I will see something interesting), and my keys
39. How much cash do you have on you right now? probably like 140,000 yen... but most of it is in the form of 500 yen coins for my "travel fund"
41. What's your favorite town/city? In the US, it was Boston, but in Japan, the obvious pick is Tokyo since there is so much to do. I also really loved Osaka and Kyoto, but I have to show some love for Kurashiki, Okayama since that's where all my essentials can be found locally.
42. I cant wait till... I go back to the after-school program and see my favorite students!!
44. What did you have for dinner last night? chicken with "Japanese sauce" and some white rice that I burnt wicked bad. oops
49. What is your secret weapon to lure in the opposite sex? English... haha, the girls love it
51. What time did you wake up today? I was up at 11am, which even that is bad, but I fell back asleep and didn't get up until 2pm.
52. Current worry? anything having to do with any of my students getting hurt... or any of my favorite ones moving away. Things just wouldn't be the same.
53. Current hate? there's a teacher at the ES who is a total doucebag. My life would be easier without her.
54. Favorite place to be? anything in the elementary school, or if at the JHS then the 1st-grade class or the Tennis Club
55. Where would you like to travel? Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Okinawa, Kochi, Sapporo... and back to Osaka and Kyoto
57. Last thing you ate? Kit-kat candy bar... those things are EVERYWHERE here
59. Last person that made you laugh? Kono-chan, my friend's 1 year-old daughter... so adorable
61. Does someone have a crush on you? one of the girls in my JHS ninensei class has a crush on me. She tried to hug me last week, haha.
