Today I went down to Bunnings Warehouse in Porirua, to get some screwdrivers for a side project of mine. I'd bought this automatic nerf-gun on sale at The Warehouse, and wanted to have a look at it's electrics to see if anything could be done about it's truly pathetic muzzle velocity, so I needed screwdrivers halfway in size between jeweler's ( Read more... )

I find my Buzz-Bee double shot quite reliable, and it has a decent range. But it uses manual cocking, not electric.

If its a Tommy 20, you can apparently just use a bigger battery (though at the risk of burning out the motor). This ups both ROF and range.

I must have bought about everything except that. Their waters guns are rubbish.

It was a Tommy 20. The dissection was destructive, so now it's junk.

Yeah, I have the rapid fire (lever-action rifle using the same shell idea as the double shot) and it's a hilariously fun toy, outranging anything else in the office. It's very satisfying to work the lever and have the shell casing PING out sideways, plus there's a removable spring-loaded magazine.

The tommy gun is trash though.

Which of the guns was it? I've been modding some for a while, I've got my eye on the new automatic pistol myself ;)
