2010 Reading list #8-#12... oh so sad

I refuse to believe that I read only 12 books in 2010.  That's not true... that's impossible!!  I think the thing is, I dip into other books on history, literature, and (new this year!) pregnancy & childbirth.  So I don't really count those as "read" because I didn't read them start to finish, but they do take up a lot of my reading time.

Thank you for your reviews. I have to confess that I have not read any of them--including Pride and Prejudice. I too have watched the BBC series many times and have even purchased the Jane Austen set of DVD's. I looked at Dune when some of my children were reading it and bowed out.

Most of my reading these days have to do with preparing for my RS lesson or with quilting instructions. This time my RS lesson is on Work and Personal Responsibility. There are many books to teach that principle. However, I think I will stick with the scriptural accounts this time.

Dune is on my list as well.

I love anything by Atwood, though - fav is Cat's Eye.

I have Bluebeard's Egg by Margaret Atwood on my "to-be-read" list (it's a long list!) as well as The Robber Bride because I read on a website that they are both retellings of the Bluebeard fairytale? I don't know why that one fascinates me so -- it's horrible! I remember reading it over and over as a child, even though it scared me.
