Catching up with Harry!

I just finished Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! Yes, yes, I know! Better late than never! I'm not sure I completely liked this book the most of all the series. It took me quite long to finish it but then I spead through the last 100 pages or so during one day, before lunch. There were some deaths, yes, but I wasn't sad about them. I didn't ( Read more... )

Oh, I definitely agree with everything you say about it. I read it fast (in one day) but later I've been quite disappointed by the lack of epic & emotion in it. There was good things (like the new information about Dumbledore) but most of it was quite dull & just like expected and the character deaths were very random. I must say I lost most of my interest in Harry Potter after the last book. I don't think I will reread the books because all in all I wished for something more profound but it was sort of lame.. But I will go to see the films anyway..

Exactly, I'm not very impressed anymore at all! It seems almost like JKR lost interest herself along the way and just kept writing for the money.

well i think she's doing all for the money lately, look at how venonous she is against other people who try to get harry potter guides etc..man she is the second of first richest person in uk and still not satisfied?? one day she'll gonna write a book on "inside stories of HP" and reveals crunchy bits about the gay nature of dumbledore etc..i swear sometimes i feel as if "being gay" is the new fashion to get more audience just like bi was once amongst girls on the web.well sex sells in whatever forms..

Oh, I dunno, I get the feeling that she's almost a bit tired of this whole HP business. If she will continue to milk this shit, maybe she hires someone who's willing to write FOR her. ^^

when i first read it (in one day, it's insane) I was completely overwhelmed and impressed, but now when i look at it it's indeed stretched out. I did cry over quite some deaths though, the most over Dobby, haha. I know they're cutting the movie in 2 parts!

Yes, I heard about the two-part movie too. I wonder if that's such a good idea! Just cut down on the fucking CAMPING and it'll be fine!

yeah, i'm afraid they'll milk that out! I think the final battle at Hogwarts should be spectacular though!

the end was just too easy, like suddenly she wanted to end it fast and opted for a "and they lived happily ever after" which clashes with the level of the rest of the book. not that i cared though..LOL and those names of the kids..aarrgggh..well it's good it's over although like some greedy author who can't bear it well that her epic period is over, she needs to go back into the limelight from time to time in order for people not to forget her (dumbledore is gay, she was once suicidal-rowling i mean, making war against people who want to profit from harry potter, selling limited edition books for millions etc..) jeez
