The plan is having a watch of our own up at all times.

The staff have done a lot for us, but we can't ask them to hold our hands.

[As if they would, anyway.]

It's nothing huge. But it's a start.

There are towers and a handful of sturdy cover surrounding the Keep perimeter. Not even close to perfect, but something. I bet if we ask nicely the staff won't mind us rotating shifts between outposts.

It's not failsafe, and I won't tell you it is. But it's something, yeah?

It's about not relying on the staff to keep us updated. There are points in the Keep people could feasibly man an outpost, yeah? Why not get our own eyes out there?

Thinking of moving into the southern guard towers permanently. Forming a watch in shifts.

If we get enough people, hell, we might even be able to set up camps around the Keep perimeter.

It's not the dust storms we should be looking out for. We know some of what's in the forest. There have been infestations.

This is. . . plain old preparedness.

Especially you. I don't think I ever mentioned this being one-hundred percent insurance against every threat. It may or may not help. Probably won't. But it might.
