a short post for thought gathering.
Today I:
+ Did my taxes -- finally, i know, i know. but they're done & can get over-nighted. Refund anticipated. Yay.
+ Did my house bills -- Thank goodness for refund or the property tax coming up in September would be terrifying.
+ Did the dishes -- we kinda put those off for a while due to all these back to back conventions. We lack a dishwasher so a sink full of dishes can be pretty daunting. I think all the dishes we own were in there.
Story time: When Kevin and I moved in, both halves of our family bought us dish drying racks and there was drama from my half of the family b/c apparently i'm a two-timing, dish-rack-grubbing, dish-drying ingrate who batted her eyelashes at BOTH SIDES OF THE FAMILY FOR A DISH DRYING RACK. That's me: The Dish Rack Slut. ...it was stupid, but that's how it goes... anyways, having two dish drying racks works out really well when you can put one on either side of the sink to hold all those dishes.
+ Did the laundry -- I don't have to go to work nekkid. yay.
+ Sorted books. -- Stacks for specific people. Stacks of 'want to read.' Stacks of 'curious, but want to get rid of probably.' Stacks of 'ready to donate/eat.' and 'Going into my library! YAY!'
+ Took a nap. -- In the middle of the day when the sun and the cats were on the bed. It was so nice.
Tomorrow the plan is slightly altered from what I thought i'd get to this weekend, but there's no harm in changing plans... to keep from forgetting anything, here's my list.
1. Spreadsheet of folks signed up/paid for Windup Comic Fest.
2. 1.5 Spink strips for the week.
3. Ink Trigger Star.
4. Make flyers, graphics, and mini-flyers for Windup Comic Fest.
5. Pack lunch for Monday.
6. Fix Post-Con inventory spreadsheet for Tekkoshocon.
7. Convention prep for TMODE this upcoming weekend.
8. Update ?! News.
[edit] 9. TMODE needs a few more panels! It's not too late, we got the green light to submit our workshops. Today. This goes on the list.
Results: with the addition of the TMODE panel stuff, I did not finish all the spinks (half-way! 1.5 spinks to go!) or get to the Windup Comic Fest graphics/flyers. Still. Not too shabby.
If I do all that before Kevin gets home, I'll feel good about my weekend. I took it really easy today, so tomorrow can be my art-day/studio-day.
