My previous post confirmed that I was one of those that was hit on January 22nd, but I figured I'd make a more substantial post given I played this game for over 5 years. I had originally waited to make the "Formal Goodbye" post or w/e you want to call it until after the 26th in case I really wasn't permabanned, but then I put it off a few more ( Read more... )

I've known about you being gone for a while, but just wanted to say personally that it's a tad sad to see you go. I know we never communicated much, were in rival shells, and even butted heads at one point, but you were overall a pretty stand-up guy. It's impressive to see you took the banning to the chin, I'm not sure I could do the same. Take care, and hopefully the lack of this godforsaken game leads you to greener pastures.

Good luck at Nursing school, I'm currently entering the first stages of becoming a Nurse. Getting my CNA / entering the RN program / entering the Bachelors requirements.

But any ways, you're totally right how this game can become addicting and just simply take over peoples lives. It's really hard for some to just back off and not play, or even try to moderate their time on for FFXI but most of us know they just keep expanding their "allowed" time on the computer for FFXI. It can really can become a major issue, and even damage your life big time. I know I entered this sort of phase a while ago about two years back. Then I quit, and recently just reopened my account and been doing good about not spending 24/7 on FFXI.

great post B, i can't say i know you very well, but you always seem like an intelligent person to me. i am sure you will find better things in life and become successful.

You were a big part of Karasu and Titan. Take care of yourself and enjoy your release from this FFXI addiction. Part of me wishes something like this would come along and cut me off from the game. I've always had tremendous respect for you, as a player and a person.

P.S. We need to keep playing brawl together!
