I have to say that as of now life is good...my block leave started today, but I was able to take off a day or two ago (they are sort of running together) because of the mind boggling lack of organization, supervision and formations. Finally made it back! I'm starting to get used to starting all over. I still don't have a computer or a car but I bought the clothes i needed and some basic stuff for the room like shower curtains and the such (forgot the rings to hang it of course, but my roomate chopped up a clothes hanger). Looks like my time here is done. We got back from our last mission the day before yesterday, finished cleaning the barracks and the vehicles and packing our stuff. Getting near the end here! I have about one more week of running missions and after that another weeks or so before I head out of here to Colorado. Good Lord talk about a crazy day....this was one of the few and far between action packed days. Almost as soon as we got out into sector we had a remote detonated rocket fired at our humvee, thank god they cound't aim it and missed by a pretty wide margin. Another guy that I knew from Korea died a couple days ago, he makes the third one so far. Still not a close friend but we got to Korea at the same time and spent the first week there finding our way around together until we were both settled into our own platoons.
