I absolutely LOVED this! ♥ I always like to read fics set in life after the island, and I've loved to see how Claire's life is like. All the Charlie mentions were adorable, and the photo was a nice touch (all along with the ring! I love to think that Sun finally gave it to Claire!).

Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. I hate how the writers never really did anything about the ring, or about Charlie's "Greatest Hits" letter that Desmond was supposed to give to Claire. I really like to hope that she received at least one of them somehow.

Oh, this was awesome! I had imagined pretty much this exact scenario happening someday, so it was cool to see it wasn't just me.

Like the other commenter said, I needed this. Among all my other issues with the finale (and there were plenty), I think this is probably the one thing that bugged me the most, that we never got any resolution with this pairing. (Of course we got the happily ever after in the afterlife, but I was disappointed we didn't get anything in the actual reality of the characters' lives.)

I also love to think that Claire got the ring someday (maybe I'm remembering wrong, but I'm thinking the letter was probably ruined...didn't Desmond jump into the water right after putting it in his pocket?), and that something like what happened in this story played out.

Anyway, thank you for writing this, I loved it!

I also feel like the "closure" the writers tried to give us for Charlie and Claire wasn't enough. I really loved their relationship, and would have liked to see more.

I'd really like to think that Claire found the ring as well, but unfortunately the writers have said that the letter was ruined when Desmond jumped into the water. ):

Me too! Their relationship was one of my favorite parts of the show, but in the big picture, it wasn't really all that big a part...I really wish we had gotten more.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. In my mind she definitely got the ring someday lol
