I’m aware it could be a hoax, but if so, it’s very well done. I'm not sure who the host is on the first half of the clip, but the link comes from a Ray Comfort article in the Worldview Weekend newsletter.
I just visited www.worldviewweekend.com, and you are absolutely right--creepy.
;-)
Have you ever taken that worldview test? I scored 24%, at the high-end of socialist humanist worldview.
I wonder what biblical arguments they make to support their economics. I'll have to poke around and see if I can find anything coherent and not simply a cherry-pick of scripture, conveniently forgetting the most-contrarian to laissez-faire capitalism bits in there.
Checked around on snopes for the keeper qua hoax, but didn't find anything. Speaking of hoaxes, though, worldview weekend found Noah's Ark--again!
I agree that the worldview weekend site is pretty creepy too. I don't remember how I got on their newsletter, but usually the articles I read are pretty annoying. I just found this one interesting.
I know I've taken the test before, but couldn't remember my score so I took it again. This time I had 49% "Secular Humanist Worldview Thinker." After looking at the bracketing, I remembered I was somewhere in the low end of "Moderate Biblical Worldview Thinker." I think the difference is that I went "no opinion" more often this time around.
I first heard about the test from a blog you might enjoy: a badchristian blog
I'm sure there's no way to prove if the call is or isn't a hoax. I firmly believe that both the host and Ray Comfort believe what they heard is real. I also believe that it's real, but fully acknowledge it could have been staged by the girl with a friend on an extension. I don't get that impression though.
And yeah, they can't decide if the Ark is on Aarat or some other mountain in Iran. It'd be cool if they found something
