I thought the "thread of evil" storyline actually felt kind of forced; Reyes jumped to 85 conclusions with no evidence, and then she just happened to be right on all counts. Okaaay
( ... )
The teaser takes place in Louisiana yet none of the characters have southern accents. Hmmm?
Scully: "Is that for me? Nice package! What's the occasion?" ROTFL!!! Nicely done.
Reyes is a shit disturber in this one. And drugged up Scully is awesome.
If Mulder isn't on the X-Files at this point, what IS his assignment? Or is he still supposed to be on leave, or in recovery, or something?
I'm no doctor, but I thought it strange that the doctor requested they "push one gram of epi" and then called the time of death without attempting chest compressions. Kind of anti-climactic and lame.
The thread of evil theme was a pretty cool idea, though I'm not sure if it was entirely successful in its execution. Without question, though, this ep had FANTASTIC cinematography (especially here, here, and here). Oh, and I also love how pissed off Doggett gets at Mulder. His character could have benefited from flying off the handle more often, imo.
