Three orders of business.
1. I made a plurk because it's the cook thing to do nowadays?
2. It's my birthday tomorrow and I turn 20 D8
3. MangaNEXT was pretty awesome!
I have a bunch of new quotes/jokes including: Oh my dear sweet Stalin, Obvitotes, Obvitoads, Seriously serious, I'm totally fagging over that, Can you do that? [random noun] Fuck yeah! .....there are prolly more but I don't even remember.
We went Friday and had a ton of fun not in cosplay and we may have been obnoxious and we got stared at a lot. We were just singing! Friday night we went to the Burlesque show and had the worst announcer/host guy ever... the show was funny as they usually are. The people in front of us made the show worth watching, they had the best commentary. At one point Freddie Kruger jumped out at the girl in front of us and she screamed so loudly that he gave her his shirt. It was funny.
Saturday we actually cosplayed (picture is not from then, but same cosplay). The second we walked in we were jumped, it was pretty funny. Before we could even walk into the main part of the center we were giving out hugs and taking pictures and talking to everyone. This time while we were singing and being dramatic on the escalators (and going up and down them for 20 minutes) people laughed, joined us, or took pictures.
We also met up with one of my good friends who I met at the first MangaNEXT in which she basically walked up to me and went, hi let's be friends! We talked for a half hour before we decided to get dinner together, we waited an hour for the hotel buffet to open, then ate for two hours. She never stopped talking. She does that. Later we went to the Hetalia mock summit thing and saw another one of my friends I met at the first MN. It was pretty funny even if we couldn't see much and fans are creepy scary. Why is creepy crossed out? We totally creeped on the Sealand/Romano couple in front of us. Sealand looked like he was 12. Christine took pictures of them. From behind them. During the panel. After that we went back to my dorm to get ready for the rave but ended up not going and had a glowstick party in my room instead.
Sunday we didn't get dressed up again, funny since it's Halloween but instead we got some last minute shopping done and met up with Arella again and she just kept talking again.
So what I got-- both bought by me and gifts, (since spoils lists are my favorite): Giant Canada flag, it was glorious, Angela and Brian would walk behind me holding it and waving it lightly so I had my own backdrop. Amanda bought me a Canada picture and Christine bought me a Canada keychain and Angela bought me a SuzuLulu doujin. I bought a CanUS doujin (and read the Spamano one Christine got) I got three little print things that are on my computer screen of Canada, Prussia, and Kamina, And a polar bear hat with a maple leaf on it. And a shirt that says "No. You can't has." And this evil squid looking clip thing.
And 20 buttons. I like buttons. One says "Pervy thoughts". Another says "I trip up stairs". Theen "HA HA! Wait... what?". And an Iron man one, 4 Canada buttons, 2 America, 1 Prussia, 1 Canadian flag, 1 American flag, a I ♥ Hetalia button. And a pack of 6 buttons with France, America, England, Russia, China, and Canada.
Yup.
I like Canada.
We went around claiming things for Canada. It was fun.
