i just ralized right now that the 7th of january which as of now was yesterday marks one year since my cousin jessie died in the war in iraq,wow its been a year, after christmas time the ventura county start put out a front page picture that had a bunch of little pictures of soilders that died in the war and my cousin's picture was one of the ones ( Read more... )

daaaaamn alex, im soo sorry.

I am so thankful that my brother made it home safely, so I don't really know what it is like to have someone I love die over there, but I can definetly sympathize with you. stay strong kiddo. <3

Truly a hero your cousin is. Though his loved ones are missing him, let us hope he is in a better place. Maybe he has joined them in the circle at the throne!! Love you.

Last night I just realized it has been a year since Jessie's death. C. and I were watching a movie that showed a military funeral and I got all teary eyed. It is definitely more emotional that I ever thought it would be for me. His funeral gave me a lot of closure and made me feel proud that he died doing something he truely believed in. Although I don't agree with the war, he felt as if he was making a difference. And, he did. He saved many lives while loosing his own, and he is a hero!!!
