It's hot, near noon in Cosmo Canyon, and the sun's beating down on anyone stupid enough to go walking through it on a day like this

Cloud was there, just like he said he would be, waiting for her. His expression was pained, and visibly shaking as he sat in the shade.

As Tifa approached the area where Cloud was sitting, she noticed him rather quickly. He didn't exactly blend in with the reddened earth.

"So, you're here." She murmured, giving away her presence as she came to stand behind him.

Cloud flinched when she came closer, huddling into himself and hiding his face. He didn't want her to see this, he was so scared . . .

"...Cloud." Tifa took a few quick strides to close the distance between them and put a hand on his shoulder, ignoring his blatant flinching away from her. "Cloud, look at me. Please."
