Most people like to talk about how freaking dumb President Bush, as I like to call him, is, but Jiminy Christmas, I love how this man talks. He may be dumb, he may be slightly evil, or at least serve an evil agenda/family/empire,

I'm going to counter and say that how you say something is just as, if not more important, than what you're saying. Ever notice how articulate airplane pilots are? When the captain gets on and does his announcement before taking off, him sounding like an intelligent, confident, well-spoken person gives me reassurance that i'm not going to die in the next few hours. Of course it helps if he's telling you something comforting, such as that the weather is favorable or whatever, but even when he's telling you you're going to be landing in thunderstorms and there's going to be turbulence along the way, the fact that he's confident and not worried transfers from him to the passengers. I've realized this over and over waiting tables. If you're crazy busy and the restaurant is packed, if you freak out or act stressed when talking to the customers, it transfers over and the stress builds. Even if the environment is crazy stressful, when you demonstrate confidence and being at ease, it keeps everybody from flipping out
