So my check engine light came on while I was driving home last night. I'm hoping it's something simple and no big deal. The car seems perfectly fine so I'm not extremely concerned about it, but I am concerned that now I have to take time out of my life to get it looked at and figured out. That happened to me last week. Take it to AutoZone, they do it for free.

Mine was the gas cap thing. Easy fix.

yeah... i'm not sure... someone else said maybe it just needs an oil change although i checked the oil and it looks like it was just changed yesterday... its only been 4000 miles since the last one, but who knows...
the only thing with the gas cap theory is that it was more than 24 hours AFTER i filled up the tank and i had driven A LOT... so I'm not sure if it is related or not... who knows...
