If you want my advice, I would say do this - DON'T go up to her apologizing or anything, since it was an honest mistakes, that's it. Wait till she's cool with it and things go back to normal - if you go talk to her trying to fix things, I think it won't be as good.
I say this from experience because once I was talking to this (fairly attractive) girl, things were going well, and then . . . actually, you know this story but I will repeat . . . I was talking to this girl, made a "bad" joke, and when she got upset I tried to cover it and fix things and things just went south - big hole was dug.
But that's just me, and maybe you're smoother.
