As of tonight, Wed Jan 19th 2005, I am apparently no longer a student of Furacao because I need to "figure out what I want to do"according to him. I have figured out what I want to do, that is why I am in school full time, working full time and training capoeira but I suppose that is not good enough for him. What is Furacao's problem??? Why would he come down on a 4yr (?) dedicated student like that who is busting their ass. I would say talk to him - even when I was there he would have his mood swings.

This motherfucker is getting on my last nerve. When I was a student he would have his "mood swings" also and he would rant and rave and tell us we were not good enough, not dedicated enough, not whatever enough. I would definitely become frustrated with his behavior but because I knew my own mind and heart I knew what I wanted out of Capoeira and what lengths I personally was willing to go so I would listen to his complaints and take them with a grain of salt. However, now he has gone too far. One of his most dedicated, intelligent, enthusiastic students is busy working, getting a masters degree and training capoeira and that to him is "not knowing what you want with your life." If anything that is the exact opposite of it! I am sorry but it appears to me, and I am no shrink so take this as you will, but it appears that Furacao is projecting. Maybe it is he who is confused about his own life and his own dedication to and relationship with capoeira. I have always believed that Furacao was a good Capoeirista however, I felt that what he ( ... )

I spoke to Vermelho about this situation and apparently Fura is truly "wilyin" as he not only kicked him out but Milho, Franghina and Pirata as well. He said they all need to decide what they "want" and blah blah. So while I am glad this was not totally directed at Vermelho I still feel that this is an abuse of power and totally unnecessary and retarded. If you do start Maladragem Mortal holla at your girl!!!

That is crazy! That's basically like shooting yourself in the foot.

Btw - regarding Maladragem Mortal - if it gets started up, you are an honorary member right away - no doubt.
