I am not happier about this situation than you guys are however I should clarify that I have now spoken with the man himself and it boils down to this- he feels I am doing my self a disservice as a student and him a disservice as an instructor if I can not commit to seeing him twice a week. Excuse my ignorance, but what is capoeira? I've never heard of it, and I'm not going to cheat either by Google-ing it.

Capoeira is the afro-brazilian martial I have been training in since November of 2000 that has drastically changed my life. I could not begin to do it justice in the space availible to me here in a livejournal post so go ahead and cheat by google-ing it- search ABADA Capoeira to learn about the group I am affiliated with. If I remember correctly you live out in the California area and there is a fairly big "capoeira community" in San Fran centered around Mestranda Marcia of ABADA Capoeira.
