In all fairness to anyone who has ever acted in a Star Wars film, this is not the easiest dialogue to spout. In the immortal words of Harrison Ford, "you can write this shit George but you sure can't say it!" I have seen several Natalie Portman movies and she is always fantastic. Specifically, check out Garden State and Closer because she is wonderful in both and I know I don't have to tell you supernerds about the fantabulousness that is The Professional. Even Samuel L, who lets face it is no Sidney Poitier, was decent, good even in Pulp Fiction and Die Hard 3. But in these films he is horrific to the point of unwatchable, in my opinion. And . . . most important of all Hayden. He did a much, much better job in this movie. I think he finally figured out what Lucas was trying to get across in the other films and besides a few scenes (balcony w/ {Padme) I thought he was good. Again, Christensen is a great actor, one need only rent Life As A House or Shattered Glass to see that so don't take his performances in Episdoes 1 and 2 as a true ( ... )
