Does anyone know anything about home owners insurance coverage?! I'm quite ignorant on the subject but feel like I'm not being told the whole truth by my landlord. According to him nothing at all was covered, except the structure of the house. He is a fishy little man. I've done a little research on the internet though and it seems even the most

i can give you the number of my friends mom. she does realistate and knows all about that stuff. buttttttt, you'd have to pay for a phone call for who knows how long to california...

Thanks I got it all figured out finally. I lied and said my parents wanted copies of his insurance policy because it sounded fishy to them and they know a bit about homeowners insurance because they own their home. And the dude changed his whole story saying he has structural insuance AND home owners insurance so all of our stuff is covered and to make him out a list of all my my posessions that were ruined by the fire. What an ass. I think he was just trying to take advantage of us because we're young. It's pretty sad when I'm 25 and still have to play the "I'm gonna tell my parents" card sometimes...but whatever works, i guess. We should be getting money in a few months. Thank goodness.
