You know I really wasn't looking for a new show to watch. What with Smallville, Supernatural, Dexter, Doctor Who, Project Runway (Don't judge me), and the eagerly anticipated V (more on that below) my dance card was more then full.

I agree with you on all points with NuV vs OV. I read that the producers were told to move things along at a faster clip and that led to a lot of the storyline feeling rushed, originally what is now unfolding in four episodes was going to take six episodes. The network wanted less episodes hence the rushed feel and that's a shame because the unfolding nature of the story is half of what makes the show compelling. I believe they also got rid of a few characters who would have made up more of the regular folk that you miss so much. Hopefully, the ratings will hold up and ABC will see fit to allow for more storytelling to fill in the action segments because it wasn't the action that drew me into the original, it was the story and the characters.

But your right that if the series going to continue they really need to have better character interaction and more story in their storytelling.
