Angie, when I read this, I honestly felt that I were reading the intro of a novel written by a published author. Needless to say, I am very intriqued now as to what this character has in store for the reader. What is her secret? Why do her nails smell like blood? What blue pills? What vices? So many questions yet to be answered. I want a full copy of this when you're done (even though it may well take you years). I have a taste for reading Angie and can critique writings well. You have however accomplished the first step in writing......you've captured the reader.

Katy, I love you. I simply love you ;)

I wrote this in 10 minutes, while listening to Placebo, after having a pretty shitty day. I plan on this being the very beginning, whether this is a short story, or novel. I want to throw the reader in action, but keep suspense at the same time. I am happy that it impressed you. That was the best compliment I have received in a while. You have made my night ;) <3<3<3

Yes, you must keep the suspense. Writing fiction is like sex.....you take things slow, build a climax, and BAM! hit 'em with the conclusion. LOL. And lots of detail my love. When I read a good book, I can see the story played out in my minds eye. Like watching a movie in my head. Details make it so much more clear.
And like I said, I'm here to give good, honest critiques. I really should have done an english degree instead of science, it's always been my forte.
