i need good books to read. right now, im reading PROZAC NATION and it is awesome. i also really really liked SHE'S COME UNDONE and I KNOW THIS MUCH IS TRUE.
I don't know, I've been reading a lot of Vonnegut lately. I'm really starting to dig it. Michael just bought me Breakfast of Champions, and I'm reading Slapstick right now. I'd finished Cat's Cradle a few days ago, and it was good. Slapstick is even better so far!
It's not like Prozac nation or anything. It's more American literature than anything else. I know that's a broad genre, but it's good nonetheless.
I don't read nearly as much as I used to, but here's a few "classics" that I really enjoy:
The Stanger - Albert Camus The Great Gatsby - F. Scott Fitzgerald
Chuck Palahniuk[sp?] and Francesca{sp?} Lisa Block are pretty damn awesome, too. FLB is pretty modern with her take of younger girls and their imaginary worlds.
I still enjoy picking up a catty, "young adult" book at times, though. Think: "Gossip Girl" or anything aimed at the current teenage girl generationg.
I never finished reading "Prozac Nation" because it drove me nuts. I wanted to jump into the book and knock that girl's block off. How sweet, eh?
Or I could just offer you some of my old school writings.
However, don't mind my comments. I'm a little drunk...
