This weekend
So Friday was a payday, not just a great paycheck, but I money that only really had to be spent on one bill and the rest was mine for food and what ever else I wanted. And I wanted a flat screen HD Television.
On Friday after work I bought one PS3 game, SpiderMan Web of Shadows. Considered a few other purchases but was good and didn't. We had our epic D&D game that evening which was productive and enjoyable as always. Leveled by the end of the session, good times.
Saturday was the Prop 8 rally, that I wasn't going to miss. It was also my cousins get together up in Northgate. Woke up early that morning, but once finally ready headed out to AT&T store to buy a bluetooth headset. Wanted to get a model that wasn't just compatable with my phone, but also my PS3. Supposedly it works, but have yet to truly test it this weekend. After that met with my one of my buddies. Once that was done & had everything together, made it to the rally. Took lots of cell phone pics (which are on my photobucket), and marched down Broadway to Westlake. Supposedly over 3000 people marched, felt like more. Was an amazing feeling and experience to be apart of.
While I wanted to stay longer and listen to more speaches, I left around 3 to get to my cousins 'potluck'. Took the bus and arrived basically as her event was ending. Only got some brownies, otherwise very little else. So was there for a bit but people had to leave so walked down Aurora, had some fastfood and took the bus home, very tired and exhausted from all the walking and marching.
Sunday did some more shopping, food mostly. Bought two dvd's, Paprika on BlueRay and the Host on regular. Almost got another blue ray dvd but held off, saving. Had coffee with Max, getting ready for his partner Rhyd's D&D game this Wednesday. Decided on a Sorcerer, will give more details another time.
Sunday evening played Little Big Planet with gaymerboi for an hour or two with two other random people who joined us. Fun to play the main levels with more people, though frustrating at times also since you can't communicate easily with them. Gotta test the headset another time. Also got my X-Mas lights up in my window, pleased with myself.
So have extra money now left over that I can finally devote to savings. Hope to keep some money there as well. Still plan on getting a new TV, but it can wait. I'm being smart and keeping some money from this paycheck for the end of the month when rent rears it's ugly head.
