Last Nights D&D game

For anyone that is curious about the geekness.

Rhyd is one of those GM's that does alot of write up for his setting and story, even making a local paper for players to read as well as personal set up for storyline. Rather detailed setting for the begining for a group of first level adventurers.

I played Loy Vernallous, Human Sorcerer & travelling actor/performer.
Max played female Half-Elf Bard, Pete had a human Rogue, Nick was a Human Paladin (our only real fighter), Beau was a female Elf Cleric and John was a Gnome Tinkerer.

It was a chaotic introduction of illusions and enchantments and machines going haywire. Various characters going in different directions to deal with Harlequin Zombies or flying Dragons or not-so aggressive Lions & flying dwarves. Our characters got grouped together with an unfortunate band of conspirators that failed in their appearent plans of escape, most of us meeting for the first time in this strange chaotic mess. The Paladin and Tinkerer didn't get along very well over his server robot, but the steam powered machine is likely to be with our party for awhile.

While we know very little about who the people are who set us on our current path, it does seem evident we are now going to be conspiritors against the present empire in rule of the land. We ended the session fleeing a scene of carnage before authorities could arrive to the safety of a forrest.

Great first session for a few hours of play. Good mix of characters now thrusted together. The Rogue is cross classing to wizard to become an arcane trickster, and I plan on eventually going Master Transmorgofist, with the Bard's help we'll have arcane casting rather well covered (even if no one will have high spells for sometime). The Tinkerer will be an interesting addition with various machines and steampunk contraptions. Can't say much about the monk-like Cleric but the fearless inexperienced do-gooder Paladin will likely try to take charge and leadership. So yeah, even though I was taking caffine and dayquil, was still a good game to be at.
