Resolution/My Thoughts on The Relationship Between God and Love

Ok, here's my "religious" (I hate that word btdubz, you know I'm not the typical religious type) perspective: Yes God says to love others but I don't because he says so, it's more of a general God made everyone special and for that fact alone they're worth loving. Does that make sense? Like it's not just blindly following a command, but the basic fact that God made people makes them deserving.
