The Super Bowl is American football, the NFL's yearly championship game, but mostly a national holiday for people to sit around and get drunk over teams that they don't actually care about. And eat lots and lots of corn chips. In general, people are more excited about the commercials that air during the game than the game itself, and in the realm of even more useless trivia, more food is consumed in America on Super Bowl Sunday than any other day of the year, bar Thanksgiving.
Psh, eighteen's not old. It's a brilliant age; you can smoke and drink!
NFL = National Football League? A national holiday for football? You lucky bastards. We don't even get giftmas eve. Also, are corn chips the American equivalent of Doritos, or actual chips?
Unless you're American, in which case you can do neither, but you are eligible to be drafted. :P
It's unofficial but they've really got no choice, everyone quits what they're doing for the football at around four in the afternoon like a force of nature. We've got Doritos in twenty billion implausible flavors, but those are them, yeah. Though for Super Bowl it's more like Tostitos, big cruncy flavorless chips made from I would guess corn, with heaps of salsa.
Seriously? That's ridiculous. I thought the new Scottish smoking law was pushing it, but twenty-one? It is twenty-one, isn't it? 8|
Nnnn, I'm liking the idea of this Superbowl thing less and less. How exactly does a football game warrant a holiday? But Tostitos, I like the sound of. Salsa is nice. ♥
Am I the only girl here who is in LOVE with American Football?
I am NOT american so the SUPERBOWL is NOT a Holiday for me it is a very Important Championship Game to me like the Word Cup In Soccer and the Baseball World Cup! But I guess I once again stand alone.
I wanted to make a graphic for you..but thanks to the superbowl I totally forgot about it, I'll make one for you some days later kay? Anyway HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
American football's not on telly here in Scotland, so I've not seen enough of it to know whether I like it or not. Judging by the fact that I dislike all competitive sports intensely, I'm guessing it won't catch my interest.
You don't have to make anything for me, don't worry about it. ♥ And thank you!
...Random drive-by comment! It never occurred to me anyone in other countries would or could follow American football. That's so weirdly cool. How did you get into that?
Ehm..? I don't know really Four Years ago I really got into sports and enjoyed TEAMSPORTS (Volleyball, Soccer, Handball) I randomly Joined a Baseball Club and did Softball .. and suddenly found myself in excitement with American Football <3 I only can read about the latest Matches (Baseball & Football) in the Newspaper or Internet, but I unfortunately cannot watch them on TV .. The Broadcast is only for PAY-TV, so I always had to watch them at the places of my Team Mates or on the Internet if I could find videos. But this year the FIRST TIME it was LIVE BROADCASTED IN THE GERMAN FREE-TV. And to watch it at home GAWD it was DIVINE
