Chapter 1 of my NaNoWriMo novel

So I figured I'd share a bit of what I'm working on for NaNoWriMo. And by a bit, I mean all of chapter one. Also, I'm alternating POV between my two characters each chapter, so I may post chapter two as well.

I'm here procrastinating from writing more of this, and telling myself that these chapters need to be longer, dammit, if I intend on making this an actual novel.
