one - ring
Tohru cried as she saw Yuki bend down before her, saying and doing nothing but showing her the ring - that beautiful gorgeous ring that was made to fit on her hand.
two - hero
That fateful day he had saved her (and her belongings) from the horrible landslide by giving her a home; Yuki Sohma has truly become Tohru’s hero, in every sense of the word.
three - memory
Tohru still remembered the day she first met Yuki, helping her pick up her books in the hallway; through that one simple act, she couldn’t help but understand and even sympathize with the likes of those who were in Yuki’s Fan Club, for she too understood the qualities that Yuki possessed.
four - box
Tohru, being the one responsible for cleaning the house, naturally knew she would stumble upon something in one of the boys’ rooms as she cleaned the house; however a picture of the two of them was not something expected as she opened a simple plain box, meaningless unless you knew what it meant to whom it belonged.
five - run
She was practically running as she pulled Yuki toward their classroom and away from Akito’s lingering presence, determined to make him forget Akito’s harsh ways and realize just how loved and cared for he truly was.
six - hurricane
The rough winds and rain truly felt like a hurricane to Yuki and Tohru, though she was determined to help him save his “secret base” - just because it mattered so much to him.
seven - wings
When they had their first kiss, Tohru swears she felt like she was flying - she even says she felt the wings on her back form (Yuki was of course keeping as much distance as he could stand so he wouldn’t transform).
eight - cold
It could get awfully cold in Shigure’s house - winter especially; but Tohru always feels warm when sitting as close to Yuki as possible while sharing a blanket together.
nine - red
She had always looked up to her beautiful mother, the infamous Red Butterfly if you will, and there was no greater wish than her presence on the day of Tohru and Yuki’s wedding day.
ten - drink
The first drink Tohru ever had was on her twenty-first birthday (she didn’t drink illegally, despite Shigure’s persistence) and it meant all the more to her that Yuki, who had turned 21 a few months earlier, took his very first drink alongside her.
eleven - midnight
New Year’s was always an important night, but this new year’s was rather special (being the first New Year’s since breaking the curse) and at the stroke of midnight, Yuki and Tohru (in the secret place, of course) partook in their first kiss of the new year, free to hold each other as close as they desired.
twelve - temptation
The temptation to hold each other was always there; however they were usually rather good at keeping just enough distance that the relationship was obvious (although there were times in private where neither could resist).
thirteen - view
The view from the beach house that year was always a beautiful sight, but Yuki made a temporary leave of absence once the sight of Tohru in her bikini was seen.
fourteen - music
Tohru’s voice had always been magical to him, but hearing her sing along to Momiji’s little song made music all the more enjoyable to Yuki’s ears.
fifteen - silk
Yuki had always enjoyed the silk sheets found in his bed; however they had never been so comfortable until Tohru began sharing them with him.
sixteen - cover
Tohru, being the small petite girl she was, rarely ever used the pillow meant for her - no, she preferred using Yuki as her pillow and burrowing herself deep under the covers, listening to his steady heartbeat.
seventeen - promise
She promised him her love, devotion and absolute faith in him and in them; He promised her his protection, his adoration and complete commitment to their love.
eighteen - dream
Yuki shot up in distress from his dream, clearly shocked by it; clearly Shigure was in need of a whack on the head this morning.
nineteen - candle
Tohru blew out the candle on her eighteenth birthday cake, smiling at the cake her friends had specially made (cute figurines of the twelve zodiacs surrounding a cute riceball figurine) and it was no surprise that the rat was rather close to the riceball.
twenty - talent
Tohru had many talents Yuki desired in himself (cleaning and singing, to name a few) but it was truly her talent to love all that made him adore her even more.
twenty-one - silence
The silence was comforting and even soothing as Yuki and Tohru merely lay near each other looking up at the night sky.
twenty-two - journey
“Yuki, let’s go on a journey,” said Tohru as she dragged him on, and he knew he would always
twenty-three - fire
Tohru cuddled into Yuki as they sat by the fire together, basking in the warmth of the flames and their love for each other.
twenty-four - strength
Yuki had always felt weak, especially because of Akito's influence; however, being with Tohru finally allowed him to realize where his true strength lay.
twenty-five - mask
Yuki had always worn a mask when he went to school (it was the only way he felt people would come to like him) and while the mask did slip every now and then, it never seemed to fall completely; however, it was with Tohru, and Tohru alone, that the mask would truly come off.

“Yuki, come onto the ice with us,” yelled out a euphoric Tohru as she and Momiji skated toward the center of the ring - Yuki only smiled at how cute Tohru was in her winter clothing.
twenty-seven - fall
Once Yuki had heard about Tohru’s fall, he immediately ran for the hospital, hating himself for not being there to help her.
twenty-eight - forgotten
He had almost forgotten his mission, the decision he had finally made, when Tohru walked down the stairs, looking gorgeous in her white dress, her hair flowing behind her.
twenty-nine - dance
Their senior dance was a dance none of them would ever forget, least of all Tohru and Yuki.

They had always been careful when it came to skin contact, but there were times when their bodies couldn’t help but desire to be close to one another.
thirty-one - sacred
Their first time was sacred, neither had ever been touched by another, and that had truly made all the difference in the world.
thirty-two - farewells
They never truly believed the day would come; after all they’d been through so much together, age had never meant anything to them; yet here it was, playing its part as Yuki said his farewells to his beloved Tohru, who would follow a week later.

She became his world when they first became friends, when they fell in love, and when they got married; he soon realized, however, that she would have to share being his world with another important figure, that being their own daughter.

They had always been formal with one another since their very first meeting; however, when she called him by his first name, it was no wonder that Yuki had transformed once more.

Tohru had a nasty habit of getting herself overworked and, eventually, sick with a fever; so when he discovered Kyo used up all of his leeks for Tohru, well he wasn’t as angry as he would’ve been months ago.
thirty-six - laugh
Truly, if there was a sound of pure heaven, it was the sound of Tohru’s cheerful laugh that filled up Yuki’s heart with joy.
thirty-seven - lies
It was fairly easy for Yuki to lie to anyone; it was a necessity after all, with their secret; however, he found it impossible to ever lie to her.
thirty-eight - forever
It had been five years, yet their love was still strong to this very day; and it was on this day that they vowed to be together always, to love no other forever.

He hadn’t expected the day to come so soon (she was his little girl after all), however here he was, sitting down with her and Tohru, giving her that all important talk he now knew all fathers dreaded.
forty-three - search
Once Akito had left, he immediately searched for her, knowing that the others would have to leave her and feeling the need to see her face.
forty-four - hope
He had always known she was determined to break the curse, but seeing how hard she believed she could; well it was easier to have hope in her than he first believed.
forty-five - eclipse
Tohru’s current obsession just had to be those darn twilight books; she was the reason why the bookstore woman was looking at her bizarrely as he bought Eclipse.
forty-six - gravity
Tohru often felt like she was flying when she was Yuki; however she comforted to know that gravity held not only her, but him down to earth as well.

Driving down the highway, Yuki’s nerves were starting to get to him; then Tohru would place her hand over his and suddenly his children’s arguing wasn’t so loud anymore.

He knew the world was a scary place; no one knew just what to expect; but as he sat with his fellow seniors, he knew that with Tohru (her hand snugly held in his), the unknown wasn’t so scary.
forty-nine - lock
Tohru had always been beautiful, that was a fact; but the instant he saw her in that black dress, well, let’s just say the door to her bedroom remained locked for quite some time.
fifty - breathe
Tohru truly felt an inability to breathe as Yuki caught the leaf about to hit her forehead, feeling those butterflies in her stomach as he walked away.
