I told you that you had it in you.
For every time that it was denied
It became more obvious each time I tried
That little David Lynn
Would ponder about the life he was in
Questioning the world around him
Both the bright and the dim
Until the day when he will finally see
What all his life is and can be

Loving life won't be a crime
Little David Lynn will be older
His profession of beliefs growing bolder
And inside his very soul
His self fulfillment will be full
All around him will rejoice
As he proclaims with his booming voice,
"I am happy with this life
With who I seem to be
I do not mind the pain or strife
As long as I can be truly me."

In a field full of crimson and clover
Stands Dave Lynn with a giant grin
Loving the life that he is in.
