Summary: Jongin kisses away the most painful scars with the most beautiful words.
The moon was slowly embracing the night with its powerful light. Stars could be seen dancing and turning into constellations and forms that were hidden the words of the two lovers standing in the middle of the street. The taller's one figure was slowly tilted upwards, his right hand holding the other's tiny left one. The heavy tension emanating from them silenced even the unsettled owls that were shifting into place on the tree's branches. Sparkly, wide eyes, wet in tears were searching another pair of eyes. There was longing, and pain, and a larger amount of affection. The silence between them was hard to be broken; not even the whispering that followed after did. A warm and fuzzy peace surrounded the two hands that were tightly clasped together.
" I'm sorry, Kyungsoo..." It was such a sweet and low whisper that it's surprising that the other boy - Kyungsoo, as he was called- heard it. But he did, and slowly shaking his head, he answered,
" I felt like a fool. You should have warned me, Jongin." Jongin let out a heavy sigh, that tickled the shorter's nose, making it crinkle. Out of nowhere, a feathery kiss made its stop on the crinkling nose, and a even slower whisper caressed Kyungsoo's lips,
" I love you, and even if the other 7 billion people hate you, don't worry, I will love you for each and one of them." Jongin looked right into Kyungsoo's eyes, and the shorter male felt like he needed something to hold on; for sure, Jongin's gaze was poisoning, it had the power to absorb you entirely and make you forget everything about your surroundings. At that moment, Kyungsoo realized that the man in front of him is right. Why would the other people matter if he had Jongin? He could live without them, but without his lover, he couldn't, he couldn't even imagine a world without Jongin. There wasn't possible for Kyungsoo to live without his Jongin. Intrerrupting his train of thoughts, the blonde continued, " So what if my parents don't like you? I do. I adore each and every single inch of your skin. You see that moon over there?", the boy pointed to the moon, but none of them dared to take their eyes off eachother, " It may shine bright for the rest of the people, but for me, you shine brighter, Kyungsoo. Even if the moon and all the stars would disappear, as long as I'm holding your hand, I won't ever be afraid of the dark; and you know how much I hate the darkness."
Jongin stopped talking only to wipe away the salty tear that was leaving a trace on Kyungsoo's rosy tinted cheek, continuing after, " I know that the world will hate on us, that my parents would give us nasty looks, that we won't be able to express eachother in public, that there won't be borned kids with your wide eyes and heart-shapped lips, and that you will cry many tears, but I swear, Kyungsoo, that I'll kiss away every scar and turn it into roses, because you deserves thousand of bouquets of roses, and hugs and..."
Kyungsoo's vision was blurry and he hated it, because he couldn't see his Jongin's face clearly; he had the worst moment of his life when Jongin's parents sent them away with harsh words, but it was all worth it. Now, it was all worth it. It was a roller coaster of emotions, caused by a roller coaster of sweet words that only Jongin knew how to spill. He wanted to say something but his breath hitched when he noticed Jongin kneeling in front of him. They were in the middle of the road, in the middle of the night. The traces of the hard-pouring rain that kissed the big town of Seoul for hours were still vivid on the ground, and Jongin was kneeling in front of him. The moon was powerfully illuminating the blonde's face, and, God, it did such a good justice to his features: his dark brown - and now, nervous - eyes, his cute nose, and those shaky lips that were emanating short puffs of air, and Jongin was kneeling in front of him. Only if there was someone to capture the moment, so he could look at it over and over again, but Kyungsoo was sure that he won't forget it, anyway, and besides, they had the Moon and the stars, and the whole world to witness their love.
" Do Kyungsoo, despite our differences, the words cussing and my parent's tantrums, would you agree to take me - the one person who knows that you always wake up at 6am sharp, that you shower for exactly 15 minutes, that you like to drink coffee the first thing in the morning and that you hate when the bread is too roasted - to be the one who would make sure that you would wake up into a warm embrace at a not so sharp 7am, that you would be showered in thousand of kisses for more than 15 minutes, that you will have your coffee ready every morning with a not very roasted bread? "
The ring that was sparkling in the little velvet box, was then, took by Jongin's long and slender fingers, and it slowly encircled Kyungsoo's little finger. The brunette was frozen in place. The tears wouldn't stop coming, and he did hate crying as much as the "too roasted" bread. He raised Jongin up by holding his hand, took his hand into his and kissed each and every knuckle. Damn, he loved this man so much; much more than he would ever be able to love himself. After that, Kyungsoo kissed Jongin's cheek, nose, both closed eyes, and hugged him. The shorter male kissed his lover's neck and whispered: " Loving you is what I'm best at. I'll make it worth. I promise."
The Moon turned away and winked at the shining stars that happily danced around, watching the two kissing lovers. The chilly breeze of a late July night whispered to them the sweet words that were caught by the calm and silent night. They all giggled and fondly watched them, " Human love; so pure, that angels, and even demons, crave it. "
