GAME UPDATE: Sunday December 27th 2009
NEWS:
⊗ On Saturday, December 26th, the first issue of the Daily Bugle to be published nationwide by BiancaReg Communications carried the top story "What I Didn’t Get For Christmas: Spider-Man in Jail," introducing millions across the country to J Jonah Jameson’s particular brand of anti-vigilante thinking. By December 27th, the Facebook groups JJ Jameson For President and JJ Jameson Is An Ass had each garnered more than 1 million members, and a Twitter account called JJsSandwich was born.
⊗ On New Year's Eve reports filter in from Latveria: a dramatic coup has seen the armoured dictator Victor Von Doom usurped by a woman known only as "Mistress". She is apparently skilled in the mystic arts and every bit as tyrannical as Doom, but she wears a lot less than he did.

THE BROTHERHOOD OF MUTANTS:
⊗ No big missions are going on, but if you've got a Brotherhood member who you want a fighty thread for, feel free to ask one of us and we'll swing you something. We're working on getting a post up for requesting that sort of thing, but in the meantime you'll have to contact us - no worries, we're pretty nice. Mostly.
WHAT WOLVERINE DID THIS WEEK:
Fought the notorious Dr. Lemur in the forests of Madagascar, managing only at the last minute to jam the Lemur Cannon before it could be aimed at mainland Africa with potentially disastrous effects.
OOC NOTICES:
⊗ PLEASE BEAR IN MIND that this week, one game week = one IRL week. The next game update (January 3rd) will be on May 1st, next Saturday, rather than the Saturday after. The week following that everything will go back to normal! This is so that people with characters who'd ICly be home for winter break don't have to suffer too much for it.
⊗ Lara Raith's deal with Rune to guide potentially interested students to the Brotherhood is still goin' on. More on that here if you want in.
⊗ Obviously there are no classes this week because it's winter break, but if you want to use this thread to talk about what mentor groups are doing with those students still present, if anything, general school goings-on, Brotherhood training sessions, etc. We do encourage people to thread stuff where possible rather than just handwaving all of it, but if you don't want to do a thread or you want to plan something or wevs, this is the place!
