I'm trying to research a way to disable an RFID, like, e.g., on a driver's license. Would a decent magnet work?

I too have heard microwaving them will do it. Have a read around on google, especially in connection with passports. You should be able to cook it and it still be legal to travel with, as it's not the chip that allows your travel but the actual passport itself. They just want all your info on the chip as well.

Lay it on the security tag pad at a Wal-Mart or Target register.
