Characters: Maureen Johnson + Amis + SO OPEN
Location: Salem Center, by the fountain
Time: Late Morning
Content: Protesting the Airlines + Crossfire happenings
Format: I’m going with Prose, but do whatever you want. Also: Party style~
Warnings: PROTESTING WOO.
Notes: Even as your characters trickle in, the protest will still be going on. Either Maureen will be performing or Courfeyrac or Bahorel. Jehan will be helping~ ^^b They will be protesting as long as there’s a willing audience, so. Enjoy. Also: Maureen totally would not mind if some of her students got super involved. Just saying.

Maureen had to pull a lot of strings to get things going just the way she wanted it. A couple friends that helped out at her other protests in Alphabet City, came down and set up a stage right by the fountain. She bounced up and down on her heels as she spoke with them. “Right, totally. No, I only need it up for  most of today. Can we get it down by tonight? Awesome. Thanks. I really owe you a million.”

She crossed over to another group of people, all working on lighting, speakers, microphones. “How many headsets do we have? Let me know as soon as those are patched through, I’ll distribute them. Set up two stands on the stage, okay?”

Maureen regretted breaking up with Mark for one simple fact: That she no longer had a production manager to take care of these things. It might have sounded heartless to anyone who heard, but she wouldn’t have cared what they thought, really. Until she could find a suitable replacement, she’d just have to do all of this herself. Good thing she was competent.

She sighed again, walking off to the side and rapidly texting questions into her phone. Everyone should be showing up soon. Her fliers had been all over the school, her blog, the center, even back on her home turf thanks to a few pulled strings. She licked her lips anxiously, tugging at her leather jacket and her eyes scanning the area.

“Make sure one of those stands is adjusted really low! We need to hear the drums!” she called out to the person setting up the stands on the stage. Speaking of the drums. . . “Hey, babe! Just make yourself comfortable right over there.”

She grabbed the headsets and distributed them to the right people as soon as they arrived. She would start off the protest, and be the closure to it. In between, she’d let the boys do their things. Until then, as people started to trickle in, Maureen stood on the stage in the midst of everything, reciting poetry about ~oppression~ and dancing to the beat of the drums.
