Content: Neru is gone, and after everything else that's happened Haku isn't dealing with it well at all
Format: Starting in prose, go with whatever!
Warnings: Potential for emo. Looots and lots of emo. Oh and beer in the school. Bad Haku.

Derrick had stayed as long as he could with his best friend until he started to worry about overstaying his welcome. Even if that worry had never surfaced (Derrick did find he was comfortable there), a certain someone would have convinced him to return to school. Summer break or not, he had studies to do, and she was less than impressed with his falling grades ( ... )

That may have been a blessing in disguise. Maybe. Seeing Derrick only served to make Haku's heart sink further. After what happened at the event she honestly wondered if he wanted to talk to her anymore, or if he'd even want to deal with her in her current mental state.

She knew her empathy blocking was probably up higher than usual, and the fact that he didn't even notice her meant she could easily try to sneak out if she wanted to.

And that's exactly what she was going to try.
