*earscratches* Maybe it's just me, but I find it rather funny that you're complaining about drama and angst in this post (which is essentially exactly that), and then look down on Livejournal (users) because they look down on you.

Maybe you really should think about your own place in all this for a bit. Nobody likes to be put down for no real reason; if you constantly go on about "oh, LJ sucks and everyone who uses it does, too", then why do you expect people to stay in touch with you? I, at least, don't exactly feel motivated if that's all the vibes I get.

Not that it really matters. But I think it's worth pointing out that looking down on others is never justified, no matter how bitter you are. Do I suck? Maybe I do, but if I do, then it's not because I'm using Livejournal. And if you can't see beyond that, then that's your problem, not mine.

Actually, you just helped me prove a point:

If I make a normal, sensible post, it goes completely and totally ignored.
The moment I burn people for using a product now owned by what I consider to be the equivalent of Internet Satan, of course, I piss people off.

Then people talk.

Think about that one.

You don't exactly make many "normal" posts, though. The last post you ever made at all was more than three months ago and aimed at just one specific person; before that, you actually have to go back to last year to see any posts at all ( ... )

Schnee.

What I am saying is this:
Any time I even breathe a hint of my not using LiveJournal, it's like stepping in a bed of fucking fire ants.

Imagine a conversation:
Some random fur: "Hey, do you have a Livejournal?"
Me: "Yes, but I refuse to post any of my real thoughts to it. I have a blog at ([ESL])."
SRF: "You should use LJ. It's cool. Everyone uses it."
Me: "Die. Die a painful death."

I'm looking down on the Six Apart owned product.
I don't even like touching it now.

You know the feeling you get when someone scrapes their nails on a chalkboard?
That's what 6A is to me.
That's what 6A has always been to me.
There's nothing that can change this for me.

Really.

And I've stopped caring.
Everyone wants me to read their LJ, but no one reads my 'blog.

Well...
30 people read the syndicated version.

I love how I'm expected to NOT be irritable about this.

So, it's time for me to shut up, and put on my happy face, for I'm not allowed to be upset about anything.
Ever.

This post does not exist.

Then fuck them all, Ralesk.

That's all I can say, really.

And OF FUCKING COURSE that's all I do here.
I don't trust this 6A owned product with anything more than my bitching.

But forget it.
Pretend this post does not exist, and go back to reading your 'friends' page full of DMA.

You do too have friends.

But calling all of them dumbasses and idiots for making simple communications choices is an easy way to lose them. :(

I'm not chastizing you for making your choices. I'm chastizing you for critisizing other people's choices. Livejournal is a perfectly valid journaling site. Not all of us have PHP and/or CGI enabled webspace to host our own blogs. It's like thumbing your nose at anyone that doesn't drive a BMW.

For christ's sake, stop being so full of yourself, and let it go! :(

Fuck it.

I have been holding my thoughts in for far too fucking long.
I'm told to bite my fucking tongue when I want to express myself.

I'm told to express myself when I bite my fucking tongue.

WILL THE REAL MOTHERFUCKING SLIM SHADY PLEASE STAND UP?

Watch for another rare LiveJournal post.

I don't know a lot about computers or making my own blog or much about Six Apart or any of that. I use Livejournal because it's what I record parts of my life in, but it's also a form of communication between friends. Ultimately, my life is poured into it in various degrees - according to who I am comfortable with knowing what. I've got quite a few private entires built up, actually ( ... )

The passwords to entries over there, with the exception of a bare few, usually have the passwords 'hidden' in plain sight. :)
