hmm go teach econs lah... if u wanna teach english thre may be a possibility tht you hav to do some training in pri/sec/jc... depending on supply and demand but then you got a very powerful degree so if u wanna go into english there may be a high chance they will post u to jc?

as to whether can u go to a good sch... actually dun think u got tht much say unless u know how to pull strings? at least tht wht i understand

actually i think econs may be the subject i'm most capable of teaching. maybe maths too. dunno. don't they actually want real english majors to teach english?

i know. which is like. why? especially if i'm an econs major wanting to teach econs, shouldnt u let me do what i want to do. before regretting later when i try to leave, and complaining about high turnover?

hmmmmmmmm......Actually, if I were you I would not go to MOE.....reasons are...

1) You need to go NIE training for 1 year for the low salary.

2) Bond for 3 years and if break bond, you need to pay for the course fees in NIE which is about 40+K

If you really like to teach..why not join RP or ITE !...Alot of my friends are joining ITE and they dun even have PGDip from NIE !...You have the working experience, somehow they will want you !...You dun have to start with lower pay and being bond for 3 years !...

1)i don't think the salary is all that low. especially since you're getting paid while you're studying. it's a very high stipend!

2) i'm really scared of the bond. which is why i'm trying to figure if i can take it

go teach in independent school. like RI.

we had teachers who werent NIE trained. coz the school can hire their own teachers. and the pay is damn high. starting is 5k.

i could try. but i wouldn't see why they would hire me. i'm not so special. nor do i have teaching experience. they might just ask me to go NIE
